The Solidworks for beginners tutorial was held on the Thursday 7th of June 2012 in the Beth Gleeson Building between 5:00 – 9:00 pm. The tutorial is the second consecutive part of the IEEE Victorian Section tutorial program. The solidworks tutorial was attended by 15 people (capacity due to limited licenses). It was primarily delivered by Mr Adam Console who has extensive experience with Solidworks and three dimensional drafting. Alex Stumpf also provided his expertise where it was needed. The tutorial was received extremely well by all attendees amongst them were 3 people from industry and a mix of students from University of Melbourne,

RMIT and La Trobe. Attendees were also treated to a late dinner and drinks courtesy of the IEEE. Photos of the tutorial can seen below.
